Crash, born and raised in the Bronx, New York in 1961, began his artistic journey at the age of 13 by spray painting full images on New York City trains, moving beyond simple tagging. As his style evolved, he transitioned from graffiti to silk-screened canvases, blending street art with contemporary fine art and becoming a pioneering figure in the graffiti movement.
