Sandro Chia is a prominent Italian painter associated with the Transvanguardia movement, which emerged as a reaction to conceptual art. After studying at the Instituto d’Arte and the Accademia di Belle Arti, he gained recognition for his expressive figurative style and has exhibited widely, including at the Venice Biennale. Chia currently lives and works between Miami and Italy.
